Uso de ácidos orgânicos na água potável e seu efeito no desempenho produtivo de frangos de corte

Resumo

O uso de ácidos orgânicos (AO) na água de beber em frangos de 1 a 42 dias de idade foi avaliado no
desempenho produtivo, saúde intestinal, pH, morfologia digestiva, pH sanguíneo, resistência jejunal (RJ) e
pigmentação da pele (PP). Foram utilizadas 1080 galinhas distribuídas em três tratamentos com nove
repetições de 40 aves: Os tratamentos foram: Uso de água potável sem acidificação (pH 8) grupo controle
(T1), acidificação com mistura AO (ácido fórmico 31%, ácido propiônico 19%, formato de amônio 26% e
propionato de amônio 6%) nas doses de 1,0 L/1000 L de água (T2) para obter um pH de 4 e 0,3 L/1000 L
de água (T3) para um pH de 6. Os resultados mostraram (p≤ 0,01) maior peso corporal, menor consumo
de ração e melhor eficiência alimentar para as aves T3. Não houve diferenças (p≥ 0,05) nos valores de pH
digestivo, PP e morfologia intestinal; só mostraram efeitos (p≤ 0,01) na largura das vilosidades e na área
digestiva. O pH sanguíneo e o RJ mostraram efeitos (p≤0,01) entre os tratamentos. Conclui-se que a
acidificação na água de bebida de frangos de corte, com a mistura AO em 0,3 L/1000 L, é suficiente para
um melhor desempenho produtivo.
