Efeito dum protocolo de prostaglandina de curto prazo na sincronização e resultados reprodutivos em cabras cíclicas

Resumo

O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar a resposta reprodutiva de cabras cíclicas do norte do México
(26ºN) submetidas a dois protocolos de administração de prostaglandinas (PG; 5 dias vs 10 dias) para
sincronizar a resposta estral. Formaram-se dois grupos de cabras adultas cíclicas da raça Alpina Francesa.
O grupo G5 (n = 10) recebeu a primeira injeção de PG (0,2 ml; 160 μg de cloprostenol) em d -5 e o grupo
G10 (n = 10) recebeu a primeira injeção de PG em d -10. Ambos os grupos receberam a segunda injeção
de PG em d 0 (1º de novembro). A resposta reprodutiva geral após a segunda injeção de PG foi semelhante
(P> 0,05) entre os dois tratamentos. Resposta ao estro = 60% para ambos os grupos, latência ao estro =
68h vs 52h, ovulação = 80% vs 60% (G5 vs G10, respectivamente; P> 0,05). Como não houve diferenças
entre os grupos, a administração do tratamento G5 parece ser uma alternativa interessante ao uso dum
protocolo curto, uma vez que gerou uma importante resposta reprodutiva.
