Effect of the supplementation time of Zilpaterol hydrochloride on residues in muscle, liver, and kidney of feedlot hair lambs

O suplemento de cloridrato de Zilpaterol (HZ) é comercializado apenas para o gado e seu uso não tem sido amplamente adotado como promotor de crescimento em outras espécies. O objetivo deste estudo era avaliar o HZ residual em vários tecidos de cordeiros com pêlos acabados em confinamento alimentados por este promotor de crescimento. Quarenta cordeiros machos intactos foram designados aleatoriamente para um dos quatro tratamentos seguintes: HZ por 0, 10, 20 e 30 dias antes do final do período de engorda. Todos os cordeiros foram alimentados com uma dieta basal e abatidos 48 h após a experiência de alimentação. Para muscular, foi observado um aumento linear (P≤0.05) nas concentrações de HZ com aumento dos dias de administração (0,0, 0,19, 0,26 e 0,64 ng/g para 0, 10, 20 e 30 d de administração). Para o fígado, um aumento linear (P≤0.05) nas concentrações de HZ também foi observado com aumento dos dias de administração (0,0, 0,18, 0,27 e 0,44 ng/g para 0, 10, 20 e 30 dias de administração). Foram encontrados valores mais altos de HZ no rim com 0,0, 0,49, 0,66 e 0,71 ng/g a 0, 10, 20 e 30 dias de administração). Concluiu-se que, independentemente do tecido, os resíduos de HZ aumentaram com o aumento dos dias de administração deste promotor de crescimento. Além disso, os níveis observados de HZ foram inferiores aos estabelecidos pelo SENASICA (México) para o gado bovino, e os valores apresentados no presente estudo poderiam ser a base para estabelecer limites máximos permitidos para este promotor de crescimento em vários tecidos ovinos.
